I know, I know. This is gonna sound stupid. I just need to say it… Photography sucks big time! Today photography is just content and everyone can do it. Everything just looks the same. Just content. Boring, bland, forgettable and perfect. It just lacks soul. Real 100% soul. Makes me sad, but I understand.
I’ll try and explain… The problem is most photographers do not do the work and look back at the history of photography. They don’t make a serious effort to be different! They follow trends, look at each other, use plugins and use the same cameras. Doesn’t matter what camera you use, digital all looks the same. What happened to the creativity, the techniques, the uniqueness and the passion to be different?
Get off your ass and turn off YouTube please. Turn off instagram and ALL social media. Do some research… buy some photography books, Google photographers of the past and dig deeper into your soul. Just do better please. Dig deeper please. Most of all… shut the fuck up and shoot… not for the world or to be “liked”, but for YOU. Make shit happen!!! Dig deep and show me your soul.
