Slash | Stuff Magazine | 09.15.00

This was a great shoot and trip!Β  I got to fly to Las Vegas for the day to shoot Guns N’ Roses guitar legend Slash for STUFF Magazine.Β  It was SO rock & roll and super fun.Β  My assistant and I left in the morning.Β  We landed in Las Vegas and went straight to the Hard Rock Hotel to meet the publicist and band.Β  I had been to the hotel before so I knew what to expect.Β  I was so ready!

I got to a room they got me for the shoot and set up before he showed up.Β  The publicist met with and asked me how long would this take.Β  I told him I’m fast and have a flight to catch.Β  Slash show up in a good mood and we started the shoot on the balcony and worked our way inside.Β  I shot some in the bedroom and on the bed.Β  He had his signature hat and looked SO rock & roll. Β 

His band Snakepit showed up and was in a good mood. Β  I shot a couple set ups with the band in the room and the hallway.Β  I didn’t know who any of the band was, but they were cool and looked good.Β  In the end it was a smooth shoot with Slash and he made me look good.Β  The publicist stayed out of the way so that was a good thing.Β  We wrapped up, went back to the airport and flew home.Β  Simple, easy and fun… just the way I like it.
