This is one of my favorite pieces of wisdom to share with all my young friendsβ€”and honestly, with everyone I know: Be Crazy, Not Stupid!

What I mean by this is live a wild, adventurous life. Take risks, have fun, push your limits, be a little rebelliousβ€”just be crazy! For me, crazy is a compliment; it’s a good thing. I’ve lived that crazy life, and I’ve got the photos to prove it.

But “Not Stupid” is key. Crazy is fun; stupid is harmful. Let me give you an example… Crazy is going to a party at your best friend’s house, where there’s booze and drugs. You have a blast, get a little wild, and enjoy every minute. Stupid, however, is getting into your car afterward and driving home. Another example? Crazy is listening to the advice of friends and family. Stupid is ignoring their wisdom altogether.

There’s a fine line between the two, but trust me, that line exists. I’ve lived crazy for most of my life, and I’ve only done stupid a few times. I’m not proud of those moments, but I’m lucky nothing bad came of them. I learned from those mistakes and never made them again.

So, please… Be Crazy, NOT Stupid!
