Lately, I’ve been talking to a lot of friends about New York City in the ’80s and ’90s β€” and how different it was compared to today.Β  Those conversations sparked a flood of memories: incredible times, unforgettable shoots, endless fun, and of course, a little bit of trouble!I haven’t been back to NYC since 2016, and even then, it was just a quick trip.Β  I miss the days when I’d live there for three months at a time, soaking up everything the city had to offer.

Back in 2016, I wrote a blog post about my 10 Best NYC Moments, and honestly, it still holds true today.Β  Those 10 moments are still my top favorites β€” though if I’m being real, I could easily add another hundred to the list.

The best part about the ’80s and ’90s? I was young!Β  Everything felt new, exciting, and full of possibility.Β  My energy back then could rival the city’s β€” and that’s saying something.Β  I was running around shooting big campaigns for big clients, living my dream as a true New Yorker.

One thing that really stands out as I write this: the friendships.Β  I made so many great friends during those years β€” some I’m lucky to still have in my life, and some who are sadly no longer here.Β  They’re the ones who made all those trips and all that time in New York truly unforgettable.Β  The people, the memories, the city itself… I miss them all.
