What’s the BEST camera today? Nikon? Canon? Hasselblad? Fuji? Sony? Or your phone… or my Greatest Hits APP? Back in the day it was simple — Nikon, Hasselblad, Mamiya. That was it. Now? It’s whatever works for YOU… and what you can afford.
I’ve been a Hasselblad guy since 1983. I love my X1Dii — the quality, the lenses, the feel. It just delivers. That said… I’ve been looking hard at the Nikon Z9. Different tool, different speed, different vibe. When I was 11, my teacher told me: “Real photographers use Nikon or Hasselblad.” Never forgot that.
Today? There is no “best.” Every brand is making killer gear.
What matters is simple: How it feels. How it shoots. The glass. And if it gets out of your way. The BEST camera? The one you actually use. I’ve never been a gear head. I just want something easy and fun. What about you? What are you shooting with?
