01.28.93 – Terence Trent DโArby | Lippman Entertainment
Yo! What up T? This was a BIG deal for me. Not sure if you remember Terence Trent DโArby, but his debut album is one of the best ever!!! If you donโt know it, get it now! This shoot was for his third album Symphony or Damn. I was hired by Lippman Entertainment for Columbia Records.
We shot at his home during the day. Got a model to come and pose with him. Something he requested, not me. His home was super nice and very clean. Very organized is what I remember most. After we shot at his place during the day we went over to Studio 46 for part two. We did a few simple set-ups in the studio and made sure the label was happy with everything.
I was a big fan and it was great that he was so cool. He didnโt take a bad photo. As they sayโฆ the camera loved him. He had style, personality and pure talent. I was stoked to capture Terence at his best and to this day this shoot was one of my favorites.
