Where do I begin? First, Soul Train was my favorite show on Saturday in the 70’s! Second, the best music, the best dancers and most of all Don Cornelius. Third, it was way better than American Bandstand by far! Fourth, the line dance of course was the best!!! Duh. Last, the style. The hair and the cloths were badass!
When I was in High School I looked forward to every Saturday just so I could watch Soul Train. Fuck homework, forget about sleeping in and who cares about going outside! It was ALL about this show. I remember seeing The Commodores singing Sweet Love, Rufus & Chaka Khan singing Tell Me Something Good and Kool & The Gang doing Summer Madness!! Every moment was so fucking brilliant. There are so many more and too many to list.
