Last week I lost one of my most amazing friends to cancer. Angelica Cob-Baehler was the best of the best. We met way back in the day over 25+ years ago when she worked at Atlantic Records. From day one I knew I had a best friend. She was so special and always made me feel good about life & work.
When I came up with the idea for my Greatest Hits, Geli was one of the first friends I called to run the idea by to get her thoughts. Iāll never forget what she said to meā¦ āItās about time and how can I helpā. From that day forward if I need anything she was there for me. If I need advice or just bounce some ideas off of her, she was there for me.
Then one day I asked if I could interview her for my documentary. A simple interview talking about her love of music and photography. It was a fun day shooting in her office at The Firm in Santa Monica. We shared lots of stories and laughs that day.
The last time I saw her was at Greatest Hits: Los Angeles in February of 2017 at Tower Records on Sunset. She gave me a BIG hug and told me she was very proud of me. She knew what it meant to me and how I was feeling. She knew that it was a big night cuz I got to share it with everyone I loved. I want to thank her for all the love and support she always gave me. Geli was super special and I will miss her with all my heart. Here’s the interview…
