Is it me or the world we live in? I ask myself this question at least once a day! There are SO many female pop stars these days. Like WAY too many. Like SO many! Every time I turn around I see, hear or discover a new one. SO many I have never heard of, but I’m told they are “BIG”. The one thing I noticed is you can’t tell the difference between these pop stars and porn stars. They ALL sell sexy, act sexy and dress sexy! Some even have OnlyFans accounts to make real money while pursuing their dreams.
I find it hard sometimes to tell the difference between the two. Checking out the red carpet at the Grammy’s is more sexier than the red carpet at the AVN Awards. I know it’s crazy to compare, but it’s more about image than about the music for the singers. It’s more about getting attention than the music. Tell me I’m wrong! Tell me I’m crazy!
At least with the porn stars we know what they are selling and actually doing a great job doing it. Today’s porn stars work hard and can make good money. This new female pop stars are selling the same thing, but with their music. The looks, styles and outfits are the same. Some female pop stars are using shock & awe to get attention. To me it’s a clown show and it comes off as desperate. What about the music?
Again, this is me thinking out loud and sharing my observations. I’m open to your thoughts. I’m curious as to what you think? Does it matter? Maybe it’s just the world we live in and I should shut the fuck up. Do I sound old? UGH! My last question is simple… Will we remember the music and will it matter?
