I’m a big fan of communication. I find that its very important in business and life. I want to talk about life this time around. It took me a long time to learn how to communicate. It took me even longer to learn how to listen. I pride myself in hearing what people are saying & feeling. Sometimes I think listening is even more important that talking. Either way communication is key to a good life.
Most problems come from 3 things… Lack of communication, poor communication and no communication. I have found that communication is a skill that takes time to learn. Well at least for me it took a long time. Some basic advice… First, listen and truly hear what the other person is saying. If you don’t understand, ask them to explain further. Second, ask questions! Third, when explaining yourself just do your best to make it as simple and clear as possible. Fourth, if you don’t know… Say you don’t know. Fifth, be nice always.
Those are some basic guidelines that I think will help. I just know that it takes practice and practice always takes time. Do your best and be patient. Do you best to be your best. One last thing… Don’t forget to use your manners. Please and thank you can go a long way!
