07.10.97 – No Doubt | Interscope Records
After reconnecting with No Doubt for Spin Magazine the label asked me if I could shoot them for some new publicity photos. Of course I said yes! The band was in the middle of their BIG North American Tour and they ruled the world at this time.
Interscope Records asked if I could meet the band in Albany, NY and if there was a studio to shoot them at. I did my research and found a small studio in Albany. Flew my assistant and I to Albany! The shoot was easy, the band was in good spirits and Gwen Stefani had cut her hair short!
One of my favorites of Gwen was a quick solo portrait. At the time the publicist told me to never shoot Gwen solo, always with the band. They ended up using the photos for some single sleeves and publicity. I loved the Polaroid 665 shots I got from this shoot. It was a great and easy shoot, but then again… it was No Doubt. Duh.
